Dimensione3 at Tech Made in Italy: Digital Twin, digital training and transformation
Antonio Orlando, co-founder of Dimensione3, was guest of Tech Made in Italy to tell the company's path, our vision of digital transformation and the experience that led to the birth of TwinFor Training.
A conversation that starts from the history of Dimensione3 and the work developed in the years in close contact with companies and organizations, to deepen a principle that guides our approach: technology must start from the understanding of the processes and the real needs of the people who will use it.
From field experience to digital solutions
Dimensione3 develops customized digital solutions by integrating Digital Twin, software and skills developed through projects made in different contexts and sectors.
In the interview Antonio tells how the analysis of the operating context represents the starting point of each project: understanding how an organization works, what information it uses and what problems it faces allows to identify the technologies really useful and build consistent solutions with its processes.
An approach that puts technology at the service of the organization, and not the contrary.
TwinFor Training: approach training and operational reality

An important part of the conversation is dedicated to TwinFor Training, born from the observation of a recurring problem in technical training: the distance between what is learned through manuals, procedures and training contents and the context in which those knowledge must then be applied.
TwinFor Training relates these two worlds through Digital Twins, integrating training content and digital representation of operating environments into one experience.
The context thus becomes part of the learning process, helping people to understand not only information or procedure, but also where and how this finds application in reality.
Technology, processes and people
The interview also addresses a central theme in digital transformation: the relationship between technology and people.
The introduction of new tools produces value when these are understandable, usable and truly integrated in everyday activities. For this reason listening, analysis and understanding of the context precede technological development and accompany the evolution of solutions over time.
A principle that Antonio summarizes during the conversation with a phrase that also represents our way of working:
When you know where you are, you know what to do.
It applies to people and organizations. And, in the end, it is also one of the principles underlying the Digital Twins: to give the information a context to make it more understandable and usable.
